Inside FIFO Mining

I'm 23 and I work FIFO on an iron ore site in Western Australia. 8 days on, 6 off, 12-hour days. This is the normal version of it, not the highlight reel. The crib room, the donga, the mess, and the bits in between that don't make it into anyone's edit. I came over from New Zealand at 19 with no mining experience and no contacts. Started as a mobile crushing trainee, worked my way up, and I supervise now. If you're thinking about getting into it, this is the honest version of what you're signing up for. If FIFO is something that you're interested in, I have put together a video series and guide to help you out - click this link Chapters 0:00 Intro 0:35 Intervals run 1:40 Bus to work 2:26 Arrived onsite 5:13 Nap 6:11 Gym 6:25 GRWM 7:03 Pack lunch 7:32 Dinner 8:35 Onsite 12:17 Post night shift 13:20 Breakfast 13:53 Wrap up Follow me here: Insta   / ngakohuwalker   Tiktok   / uci-pi_ay7o-xvbqwy5kus6a   Facebook   / 1056027950734993   #fifo #fifolife #fifoaustralia #miningaustralia #westernaustralia #ironore #miningjobs
