Elden Ring: Bonny Gaol, Fog Rift Catacombs & Death Knight - Episode 50

Hi everyone, it’s me, FacelessNobody. I invite you to sit next to me and play Elden Ring together - one of my favorite games. I’ve already beaten this game a few times, so I can share some tips with you during our journey. In this episode, we do quite a bit of exploration. First, we fully clear the Scaduview area, where we find a place that looks like it was hit by a meteor. And of course, waiting for us there is our old friend, the Fallingstar Beast bull. We’ve already fought two of these guys before, so this time we manage to kill him without too much trouble. After that, we return to Bonny Village to check the other bridge that we ignored last time. There, we discover another huge dungeon, Bonny Gaol. And yes, I finally realized that “gaol” basically means prison. Took me long enough. The place is pretty massive, as we’ve already come to expect from DLC dungeons. Inside, we find the Night armor set and the Shield of Night, the same style of armor worn by our friend Jolán from Ymir’s questline. So naturally, we borrow the helmet for ourselves. And now we look cool. After clearing Bonny Gaol, we rush toward another dungeon located northwest of Castle Ensis, Fog Rift Catacombs. This is our first proper catacomb in the DLC, and man, these imps somehow look even creepier than the ones from the main game. The catacombs are full of hidden paths, traps, and some pretty interesting enemies. Hopefully, we managed to find everything there. At the very end, we face a really cool boss, the Death Knight. We manage to defeat him on the first try, but that definitely doesn’t mean the fight was easy. After his defeat, he kindly gives us his weapon, and I actually want to try using it. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade it properly right now, so we’ll keep it in our inventory and come back to it once we find the stones we need.
