For years, many Zimbabweans living in the diaspora say the same thing: "One day I will come back home. But what happens when that day finally comes? In this episode, I share the story of my friend Rodney, who spent many years building a life in South Africa. After circumstances affected his business, he returned to Zimbabwe and, for a while, everything felt right. The food. The people. The freedom. The familiar sounds. Home. Then something unexpected happened. He started missing South Africa. His business. His workers. His routines. Even the roads he had once become tired of. And suddenly a much deeper question appeared: *Where do you belong when one country carries your roots, but another country carries the person you became?* Maybe migration does more than move our bodies. Maybe, slowly, it creates a home inside us in more than one place. And perhaps there is nothing wrong with that. Zimbabwe may carry your memories while the diaspora carries your growth. One gave you roots. The other stretched your branches.
