SUNDAY MESSAGE 4TH OCT 2026

The Need for Preparation in God’s Purpose Preparation is essential because God’s purpose for our lives often requires us to be ready before He releases the opportunity, assignment, or blessing. God may have a great plan for us, but preparation develops the character, wisdom, faith, discipline, and spiritual maturity needed to fulfill that plan. Preparation involves: Prayer and spiritual growth — developing a deeper relationship with God. Learning God’s Word — gaining the wisdom needed to make the right decisions. Building character — becoming trustworthy and responsible enough to handle what God places in our hands. Developing our gifts and abilities — sharpening what God has deposited in us. Patience and obedience — learning to follow God’s timing rather than rushing ahead. Faithfulness in small things — proving ourselves ready before greater responsibilities come. In simple terms: God prepares the person before He releases the purpose. David was prepared in the wilderness before becoming king. Joseph went through years of testing before entering his position of influence. Moses spent years in the wilderness before leading Israel. Therefore, do not despise your season of preparation. What may look like a delay could actually be God developing you for the purpose He has prepared for you. Key Scripture: “Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.” — Proverbs 24:27 Message emphasis: “Your preparation today determines your capacity to fulfill God’s purpose tomorrow.”
