I thought she was just hungry. But this little mother dog had something far more precious to show me. On a mountain trail, she blocked my path and kept raising her paws. When I finally followed her, she led me to her tiny puppies, huddled together in a shallow hollow. What began as a simple hike became a journey I’ll never forget—from carrying her babies down the mountain to an unexpected discovery at the groomer’s, and finally, a home for them all. I may never know exactly how she ended up out there. But I’m grateful I stopped long enough to follow her. Every animal deserves kindness, safety, and a family that won’t give up on them.
