Part 3 of the PVsyst tutorial: the financial (economic) evaluation of a 100 MW AC / ≈130 MWp DC solar PV plant in Choma, Zambia. In the earlier parts we designed the plant and ran the energy simulation. In this video we use PVsyst’s economic evaluation tool to find out whether the project makes financial sense. What we cover in this video -Setting up the investment and capital costs -Entering the operating costs (O&M) -Setting the energy tariff -The financial assumptions behind the evaluation -The levelized cost of energy (LCOE) -Net present value (NPV) -Internal rate of return (IRR) Reading the other outputs PVsyst gives you, and what they mean for the project Project summary: AC capacity: 100 MW DC capacity: ≈130 MWp Location: Choma, Zambia Software: PVsyst If this helped, like the video and subscribe for more solar design and engineering tutorials.
