A friend of mine asked me what sport they should start watching; they're a massive nerd. Big numbers gal. I decided to point them to baseball. Baseball is the trailblazer of modern advanced stats for all major sports. Sabermetrics, now evolved to Statcast, has introduced so many statistics that provide context to sports.
