Needed a Coat… But What Kylee Really Needed Was Someone to Listen|Ep.18

In this episode, I meet Kylee, who reached out to me because she was in need of a warm coat and, just as importantly, someone to sit down with and have a chat. Kylee has been going through a difficult time following a recent ordeal and the heartbreaking loss of her father. As she tries to navigate her grief, she feels she isn't getting the support she needs to help her through her bereavement. Sometimes, life isn't just about the practical things we need to get by. It's also about having someone who will listen, show compassion, and give us the space to talk about what we're going through without judgement. This episode is a reminder that behind every person struggling on the streets or facing hardship, there is a human being with a story, feelings, and often a great deal of pain that others never see. Kylee needed a coat to keep warm, but she also needed a listening ear and a little kindness.
