Mither o’ the Sea | Dark Scottish Folklore Song

Mither o’ the Sea is an original dark Scottish folklore song from The Spirit of Alba, inspired by the old sea beliefs of Orkney. A song of winter water, island survival and the ancient power said to rule beneath the waves — where the sea is never simply scenery, and those who live beside it know better than to take its mercy for granted. Cold, atmospheric and story-led, with the sound of an old warning carried across the water.
