KAKASHI HATAKE RAP – "IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE BELLS" | Naruto Shippuden | SCARYTHM

The bells were never the real test. The real test was whether they would choose each other. "IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE BELLS" is an original cinematic anime rap inspired by Kakashi Hatake and the lesson that shaped his entire life. After losing his father, Obito, Rin and Minato, Kakashi learned that following the rules is not enough if it means abandoning the people beside you. Years later, that lesson became the Bell Test. Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura thought they were competing for two bells — but Kakashi was really watching for something else: Would they leave a teammate behind? From Obito giving Kakashi his Sharingan to Team 7 breaking the rules to help Naruto, this song is about grief becoming leadership, loss becoming a lesson and one generation finally understanding what the previous one learned too late. "IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE BELLS! I NEEDED TO KNOW WHO'D LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND! BREAK THE RULE! SHARE THE PAIN! IF YOU CHOOSE EACH OTHER WHEN THE ORDERS SAY YOU CAN'T— THEN YOU PASS MY TEST!"
