This is a new commuter garage in Woodbridge VA, that I didn't know about until some random news article I read at work mentioned it. So I did some research and sure enough, Prince William County finished this garage at the end of 2024, so I marked it to hit next time I was in the area or had nothing to do. A month or two later, here it is, they went with KONE for the most basic install they could have here. Seven floor 150FPM KONE installs is definitely giving EcoSpace era, but the county chose this... not KONE's fault. Good news is they're scenic above 3. Bad news is the indicator on the first car is stuck on the KONE screen and the second car's COP was badly vandalized (I was thinking of saying that out loud on video and decided against it... save myself from getting clipped lol).
As you can see in the picture at the end, it seems I found the reason all the 150FPM EcoSpaces and such feel so scratchy... because like TKE and Schindler, KONE opted to save money and only configure guide shoes (slide guides) for their slower installs... so they don't run on wheels after all. The good news is, somehow, unlike EcoSpaces and solutions from Schindler/TKE, or even the Mono300, the higher quality construction on the 500 level monospace makes these ride with zero vibrations and absolutely stellar ride quality for being on slide guides. Although they have the telltale random bumpiness, I really never would have though these ran on slides until I looked on top of the car at the end. Nonetheless, still not as good as roller guides, and this probably explains why 200FPM+ installs have the squeakiness but these don't (probably a rollers flaw lol)
