Auto News: India’s automotive market continues to see strong growth in electrification. Passenger EV sales reached 30,418 units in August 2026, up 51% year-on-year, with Tata Motors leading at 13,070 units, followed by Mahindra with 6,408. Interestingly, VinFast moved into fourth place, ahead of Maruti Suzuki. Meanwhile, electric two-wheeler sales reached 1.83 lakh units in August, 67% higher than the same month last year, with TVS, Bajaj and Ather among the leading brands.
