The Maker Struggle: We Make for Everyone Except Ourselves

Today I finally did something makers hardly ever do, I made a broom for myself. Between prepping for two October events, sorting through broom handles, and chatting about life, I decided to pause the hustle and make a kitty‑litter broom just for me. Makers will understand this struggle… we make for everyone except ourselves. While flat‑stitching this broom, I also shared updates about what’s happening inside the Broom Witch Academy, from broom making basics, intermediate courses, broom camp, the Green Witch Hall, and our upcoming autumn gathering. If you’re curious about traditional broom making or want to learn the craft from the ground up, the Academy has a full soup‑to‑nuts path for beginners and seasoned makers alike. This video is cozy, rambly, maker‑life energy: stitching, storytelling, broom talk, workshop chatter, and a little witchy magic sprinkled in. If you enjoy watching someone make things while babbling about the creative life… you’re in the right place. Thanks for being here, friend.
