UAE Cancels Visas Of 4,800 Bangladeshis; Many Stranded In Bangladesh | News9 The UAE has cancelled the visas of more than 4,000 Bangladeshi nationals, leaving many unable to return to their jobs, businesses and families in the Gulf country. Bangladesh has raised the issue with the UAE through diplomatic channels and sought a review of the cancellations. Reports of visa cancellations began emerging in July, with some affected expatriates saying they received notices without a stated reason. Around 350 affected Bangladeshis attended a programme at the National Press Club in Dhaka on September 7, where they demanded government intervention and placed a five-point set of demands, including rehabilitation and financial assistance until the crisis is resolved.
