Bird photography MIRRORLESS-LESS Day Challenge, only D850 No Z9: Good lens matters but not Camera

I took the challenge of going mirrorless - less today. I left my Z9 at home and I took my D850 + a 600mm f4 lens out. Did I miss the Z9? The answer is no. What I miss is reach, longer focal lens, something very common for bird photography. The camera did not matter, it is better to invest in better glass instead.
