EMMANUEL, in Afflictions

God never promised us a life free from affliction. There will be moments when the prayers seem unanswered, when the pain feels overwhelming, and when you find yourself asking, “God, where are You in all of this?” But what exactly is God’s promise to us in the midst of it all? EMMANUEL — God with us. Not a promise that we will never face difficult seasons, but the assurance that we will never face them alone.
