Take an early morning walk through the heart of Edinburgh, beginning on Victoria Street and continuing past Edinburgh Castle, The Mound, Princes Street Gardens and the Scott Monument before finishing near Waverley Bridge. This 4K walking tour starts on one of Edinburgh’s most recognisable streets before climbing Granny’s Green Steps towards Johnstone Terrace and Castlehill. From there, the route passes beneath Edinburgh Castle, with a short detour towards the Assembly Hall and John Knox Monument, before descending towards The Mound. The walk then continues down Playfair Steps into central Edinburgh, passing the Edinburgh model and entering Princes Street Gardens near the Adam Black statue. From here, the route heads towards the Scott Monument and Princes Street, before returning through the gardens and finishing in the Waverley Bridge area.
