In Part 4 of the “Building an ML Framework From Scratch” series, we take a step back from CSV processing and understand some of the fundamental C++ concepts that will help us design our framework. We look at the backbone behind STL containers such as vector, list, and map, and understand how their underlying data structures affect the way they store and access data. We then explore forward_list, before_begin() and insert_after(), followed by a practical introduction to memory in C++ using stack and heap concepts, pointers, addresses, new, and delete. After understanding these concepts, we decide why vector is a practical choice for many of our ML library data structures. We then return to our CSV validator and start thinking about detecting problems such as empty lines and missing values. Finally, we discuss the C++ compiler, C++ versions, g++, CMake, MinGW and mingw32-make, before moving toward writing the actual functions that will form our framework. This video is part of the journey of building a Machine Learning framework from scratch, where the goal is to understand the programming and data-processing concepts behind the framework rather than simply relying on existing libraries. #MachineLearning #Cpp #CPlusPlus #STL #MemoryManagement #Vector #LinkedList #CSV #CSVValidation #CMake #MinGW #MachineLearningFromScratch #MLFramework
