10.1 From organising to controlling

This lesson complements lessons 11.1 and 12.1. It explains how the act of organising the resources of an organisation prompts the need to make sure those resources do what they're supposed to do, and achieve what they are expected to achieve. That's what control is all about - managers making sure that what is planned to happen, happens according to the plan. And where it doesn't go according to plan, then managers make adaptive changes to their plans, or to the way the resources are organised.
