Bath Festival Orchestra perform Ginastera's Concerto For Strings at King's Place in June 2022, as part of our South American Journey concert. A word from our artistic director Peter Manning; "The Ginastera concerto for strings represents one of the most fiendishly difficult and emotionally complex pieces of incandescent energy and beauty for an orchestra …it is very rarely played but the most impressive artist musicians of the BFO by any measure play this piece so naturally .. it’s as if it's in their bones. This performance of Ginastera ‘s world of strange beauty is a great highlight of our seasons work this year and well worth listening to … it’s really a revelation."
