आर्लो टी. जान्सेनद्वारा पुनर्कथित ‘डर’ मेक्सिकोको पुएब्लामा घटेकाे एउटा रहस्यमय कथा हो। यस कथाका मुख्य पात्र आर्मान्डो गोन्जालेज हुन्। उनी बैंकबाट ५०,००० पेसो निकालेर घर फर्किरहेका हुन्छन्। बाटोमा उनलाई लुटेराहरूले पछ्याइरहेका छन् भन्ने डर लाग्छ। उनी पछाडिबाट आएका तीन जना विद्यार्थीलाई देखेर झन् बढी डराउँछन् र आफूलाई लुट्न लागिएको ठान्छन्। तर उनले सोचेको वास्तविकता भने अर्कै हुन्छ। अन्त्यमा उनको डर निराधार रहेको कुरा स्पष्ट हुन्छ। यस कथाले डर र शंकाले सामान्य परिस्थितिलाई पनि कसरी खतरनाक र भयावह देखाउन सक्छ भन्ने सन्देश दिन्छ। Fear, retold by Arlo T. Janssen, is a supernatural story set in Puebla, Mexico. It tells the story of Armando Gonzalez, a wealthy man who becomes extremely frightened after withdrawing 50,000 pesos from a bank. While walking home, he constantly worries that robbers are following him. His fear grows stronger when he notices three young students behind him. However, the truth is quite different from what he imagines. The story shows how fear and suspicion can make ordinary situations seem dangerous and frightening.
