Unsolved The Cutt Mill Mystery and Agnes Kesson case

Albert Keen, 61, and his wife, Annie Keen, 54, lived quietly in a cottage at Cutt Mill, Shackleford, Surrey. One day, a boy named Robin Huber went to the cottage hoping to find some odd jobs to earn a little money. Instead, he discovered Annie Keen’s body lying on the kitchen floor. After running for help, a search was made for her husband. Albert Keen’s body was eventually found beaten and lying at the side of Cutt Mill pond with his face part submerged in the water. A man was arrested and later tried for the crimes, but he was acquitted. == Agnes Kesson had been working at The Nook tearoom for about five months when she decided to leave and take another job. At least, that was what she told those around her. She was apparently planning to go to a hotel for her new position, but she never arrived. The following day, Agnes Kesson’s body was found in a ditch. Some people claimed to have seen Agnes with a man the night before she disappeared. Despite this, nobody was ever arrested for her murder. There were suspicions surrounding Mr Deats, the owner of the tearoom, garage and shop where Agnes had worked.
