Naib Ameer JIP Liaqat Baloch Press Conference | Warns of Long March

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Naib Ameer and head of the negotiating team against the Petroleum Levy Bhatha Liaqat Baloch addresses an important press conference in Lahore. Liaqat Baloch said Jamaat-e-Islami is continuing its nationwide campaign and protest camps demanding the complete withdrawal of the petroleum levy and relief for the public. He said rallies and public gatherings are being held across the country, including in Karachi, Hyderabad, Okara, Charsadda and Buner. He said former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has also expressed support for the campaign and welcomed other constitutional protest movements. Liaqat Baloch said the Prime Minister had assured Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman that a meeting would be convened after his return to Pakistan. He called on the government to stop delaying the matter and convene the meeting without further delay. He further said Jamaat-e-Islami would not wait indefinitely for negotiations or committees. If the government delays further, the final date for a Super Long March from Multan to Islamabad will be announced.
