Are the Commanders DONE With Mike Sainristil? Daronte Jones Making BIG CALL With His Defense!

Grant has inside information — and what he's hearing about Mike Sainristil's standing with this team is not good. Five snaps against the Colts. A source connected to the team saying "if you can't take the heat, get out the kitchen." Josh Taylor hinting someone might not last much longer on the roster. Grant breaks down the full cornerback picture with Trey Amos potentially returning as early as this week. 📲 DOWNLOAD PRIZEPICKS Get $150 in lineups if you win your first $5+ lineup using code HMA: https://prizepicks.onelink.me/LME0/FU... 🔑JOIN THE DISCORD Link:   / discord   🔴 SAINRISTIL IS OUT OF TIME He looks like a completely different player — and not in a good way. Five snaps against the Colts. By far a career low. Grant spoke to someone connected to the team and can't share who — but their response when asked what was going on with Sainristil was blunt: "if you can't take the heat, get out the kitchen." Josh Taylor, who usually has solid information, said recently not to be surprised if somebody doesn't make it much longer on the roster. Grant breaks down what that means and what the realistic outcomes look like for a player who was a team captain just weeks ago and now posts two bible verses per day on Instagram. 🔄 THE PRACTICE SQUAD MOVEMENT — WHAT IT TELLS US Something strange happened. The Steelers claimed Terrell Smith off Washington's practice squad — and the Commanders brought in several players for workouts to fill the spot, including Antonio Hamilton Sr. Hamilton was offered a practice squad spot after cutdown day and declined because he wanted a 53-man roster spot. That didn't happen — and now he's back in Washington's building. Grant asks the honest question: did Hamilton come to terms with a practice squad role, or does he still think he's working his way onto the active roster? Robert Henry Jr. being claimed by the Seahawks also creates another open practice squad spot. 🏥 TREY AMOS RETURN — THIS WEEK? Amos has completed four games on the sideline since going on IR and is eligible to have his 21-day return window opened as early as this week. Grant breaks down the snap count math — if the Commanders stick to their trend of only activating four corners on game day and Trey comes back, the four would logically be Trey, Rasul, Amik, and Fabian. That leaves Sainristil as the odd man out of the active game day roster entirely. The last game's corner snap counts tell the story: Amik at 65, Rasul at 56, Fabian at 26, and Sainristil at 5. The writing is on the wall. BOTTOM LINE: Sainristil was given every opportunity — he was a team captain, he started for two years, and the new coaching staff gave him multiple chances to earn his role back. It hasn't happened. Trey Amos coming back this week could be the moment that effectively ends his time as a meaningful contributor in Washington. Grant breaks down what comes next for a player and a cornerback room that both need clarity heading into the Giants game.
