On a rainy night in Seoul, a delivery rider arrives at Taegang’s repair shop after mysteriously losing his voice. An evil spirit hiding inside his shadow has stolen his voice and is using it to lure other people. After discovering its presence, Wolryeong follows it into a dark alley, where she and Taegang fight to protect the rider’s voice and soul. This episode includes a post-credit scene set in the Joseon era. Young Taegang and Wolryeong save a mother and her child from a tiger on Bukhansan Mountain. However, when the family realizes that their rescuers are dokkaebi, they become terrified and run away. Taegang is deeply hurt because he genuinely wants to befriend humans. Wolryeong remains calm, as though she already understands that humans have always feared their kind. This post-credit scene introduces the complicated relationship between humans and the dokkaebi who have protected them for generations. Future post-credit scenes will gradually reveal more of Taegang and Wolryeong’s past and the world of Dokkaebi Demon Slayers.
