I Spent 3 Days Searching My Local Patch for Wildlife… Here’s What I Found!

Join me for three days of wildlife photography on my local patch in Cornwall, as I head out into the field with one goal: to find wildlife, understand my surroundings and hopefully come home with the images I’m looking for. In this video, I take you along for the highs, lows and unexpected moments of a real wildlife photography session. From fieldcraft and reading the landscape to patience, observation and ethical photography, I share the techniques and thought processes that help me get closer to wildlife without putting unnecessary pressure on the animals. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that knowing your local area is one of the most powerful tools a wildlife photographer can have. Understanding where animals are likely to be, how they use the landscape, their behaviour, feeding patterns and the best conditions to find them can make all the difference. Rather than simply chasing wildlife, this is about building knowledge, developing fieldcraft and putting in the time.
