PIN BHABA PASS Trek | Kinnaur's Hidden Himalayan Adventure This was one of the most unforgettable Himalayan trekking experiences of my life — the Pin Bhaba Pass Trek in Himachal Pradesh. The journey began from Shimla, where we drove towards Kafnu in Kinnaur district by car. Kafnu is the starting point of the Pin Bhaba Pass route and lies in the beautiful Bhaba Valley. The valley is known for its forests, mountains, rivers and high-altitude trekking routes. From Kafnu, we started our trek into the mountains. Our Pin Bhaba Pass Journey Day 1 — Kafnu → Mulling We started trekking from Kafnu and entered the beautiful Bhaba Valley. The trail took us through mountain landscapes, forests, streams and along the Bhaba River before reaching Mulling, our first campsite. Day 2 — Mulling → Karah The next morning, we continued deeper into the valley from Mulling to Karah. The landscape gradually opened into beautiful alpine meadows surrounded by massive Himalayan mountains. Karah is one of the spectacular campsites on the route and is known for its wide green meadows and mountain scenery. Day 3 — Karah → Pin Bhaba Pass → Karah The most challenging and memorable day of the journey. We started from Karah and climbed towards Pin Bhaba Pass, reaching an altitude of approximately 16,105 feet (about 4,900 m). After reaching the pass, we returned to Karah the same day. Standing at 16,105 feet surrounded by the Himalayan mountains was an experience that is difficult to put into words. The Pin Bhaba Pass route is famous for the dramatic landscape transition between the lush Bhaba Valley of Kinnaur and the high-altitude Pin Valley of Spiti. The full crossover route traditionally continues from the pass towards the Pin Valley and Mudh. This video captures my personal experience, the landscapes, trails, camps, challenges and unforgettable moments from this Himalayan adventure.
