airline (ep 1 - look after number one, 3 january 1982)

When this first aired in New Year week 1982, I watched this without fail. The last time the series was repeated was in 1984. According to an edition of Battle Stations, RAF Church Fenton played Garton aerodrome where Ruskin Air Services was based. To put this together, I had to download all 7 parts of this, the very first episode where, near the end, an RAF Dakota crashes smack bang into a house. Plus, I also had to take the Trident Television ident from an episode of How We Used To Live and tack that onto the end, not to mention get rid of the ad breaks. Part of the video is a bit ropey but I blame that on the one who posted this episode piecemeal in the first place. Anyway, enjoy this very first episode of the drama series that Roy Marsden starred in since The Sandbaggers.
