Sea Swell - Live at Unitarian Church, Dublin

Recorded live at the Unitarian Church, Dublin, in April 2026, to a packed room at the launch of our debut album. “Sea Swell” is one of the songs that changes most from night to night. It starts very quietly, then the cello, pedal steel and keys gather around the voice until the whole room is moving with it. In that church, with the audience close and utterly silent, you could hear all of it. How I Became A Wave is the orchestral folk project fronted by Pat Carey. The self-titled debut album, released 27 March 2026, was given four and a half stars by The Irish Times, who called the songs “flawless.” Featuring: Pat Carey - Guitar and vocals Kealan Kenny - Pedal steel, guitars and vocals Dylan Vaughan - Keys, saxophone, clarinet and vocals Julianne Quirke - Cello and vocals Davie Ryan - Drums, synth and vocals Maria Ryan - Violin Mixed by Kealan Kenny Filmed and edited by Bearfoot Productions Listen to the album: https://slinky.to/HowIBecameAWave Website: https://www.howibecameawave.com/ Instagram:   / howibecameawave   Mailing list: https://mailchi.mp/d2728317b819/subsc...
