A seven-figure business, an email list of about 5,000 people, and less than an hour a week on social media. Holly built all three with twin daughters at home who are about to turn 13 and still don’t have phones. A business that kept her glued to her own phone never made sense for her family, so she built one that runs without it. Episode Overview Holly spent 22 years in corporate strategy and started her business at 42. She had one goal. She wanted to put her girls on the school bus and still make an impact. While she was reporting to a CFO, posting all day on Facebook wasn’t an option, so she built what she calls the antisocial strategy. It is very social. It runs on podcasts, speaking, email and systems behind the scenes that turn listeners into clients. In this episode, we talk about where her sales come from, the three lead sources working best for her right now, and how she sells without a live launch. In This Episode Find out why 75% of Holly’s sales come from email, referrals and conversations, and how to build the systems behind that number Steal her weekly email rhythm of thought leadership, a personal Friday newsletter and hand raiser emails that start sales conversations Learn the pop-up strategy that brings her 50 to 75 new email subscribers a month from her website alone Get her rule for speaking in look-alike communities with three or four key topics so you never start from scratch See how to use AI to read your email and Google Analytics data and find your warmest buyers One of my favorite moments was when Holly talked about tracking data. Most founders I work with tell me they want more sales and then jump straight to paid ads or a new platform. When we look at where their sales come from, it is almost always conversations, referrals and email. Holly and I agree on this completely. Pick one or two channels, give them 90 days and pour gas on what is already working. Holly also pairs one external strategy that brings people in with one internal strategy that nurtures them once they arrive. That balance is what lets a female founder grow without living on her phone.
