This is one of the watchtowers of the Frankfurt Landwehr, built in the 15th century. The Bockenheimer lookout was built between 1434 and 1435 to strengthen the local defences. It has survived to this day and impresses with its clear Gothic style. The Bockenheimer Lookout is the calling card of Bockenheim. Next we will walk along Leipziger strasse. Leipziger Strasse is the central shopping and residential street of the Frankfurt district of Bockenheim. This street is located in the heart of the Bockenheim district and features a colourful mix of small shops. Here you can enjoy food, do some shopping and look into colorful courtyards while walking.
