FOC Chronicles - Episode 8 The Hunter’s Leash

With all that said: Six Ji'Gashan hunters vanished into the forests of Arlan-9. Three nights later, none have returned. When Matron Na'Raksha summons Richard “Ranger Rick” Marshal, known among the Ji'Gasha as Trag'Ma Gan, “He Whose Stories Wander and Return,” what begins as a search for the missing hunters quickly becomes something far more dangerous. The trail is wrong. Evidence has been deliberately staged. Territorial predators are suddenly hunting together. And somewhere in the forest, something is watching. Rick, Reyla, Kyra, and Sharra follow the real trail into the wilderness and discover that they aren't dealing with an ordinary predator. The Volgaru doesn't simply hunt. It observes. It learns. It plans. And it has learned how to turn the other predators of Arlan-9 into weapons. What follows is a battle of tactics, instinct, firepower, and sheer stubbornness as the team races to bring the missing hunters home alive. Of course, surviving the hunt is only half the problem. Because once Trag'Ma Gan returns to a Ji'Gashan bonfire with a new story to tell, there are an awful lot of witnesses who remember what actually happened. Especially the wall.
