Together, they journey through a distorted world corrupted by a mysterious broadcast signal coming from the Signal Tower. As they travel toward the Pale City, they encounter increasingly hostile, deformed inhabitants, including a relentless schoolteacher, a grotesque doctor, and hunters warped by the signal’s influence. Mono discovers he has a strange connection to television screens, allowing him to manipulate or enter them, which becomes key to progressing through the world. Over time, it’s revealed that the Signal Tower is warping reality and controlling people’s minds through television signals. They eventually reach the Signal Tower, where Mono confronts the source of the corruption and the mysterious Thin Man, a tall figure who has been pursuing them throughout their journey. In a twist, Mono becomes the new Thin Man after a betrayal by Six, who lets him fall while escaping the collapsing tower. The game ends with Six leaving alone, now transformed and more monstrous, while Mono is trapped in the cycle as the new Thin Man, implying a tragic loop of corruption and fate.
