JELLICA — READY TO GO! | Full Album | 80's Bubblegum Pop, Disco, Pop-Funk & Soul | AI

READY TO GO! is Jellica’s debut album, capturing the artist she was first marketed to be: youthful, polished, romantic and carefully packaged for the early-80s pop market. Long before she began taking greater control over her music and image, the album mixed bubblegum pop, disco, pop-funk and soul into a bright, highly commercial introduction. Her label desired her to be the next teen sensation, sending her on coast-to-coast performances in malls and venues, and she scored some genuine top 40 hits at the tail end of its promotion. However, as we know today, Jellica was deeply unhappy with the way her label treated her as a product and completely shut her out of the creative side of her music. After Ready To Go!, she began the laborious process of breaking free from her contract. 00:00 Fascination 04:44 Ready To Go! 09:36 Poster Boy 14:21 Work For It 18:01 Why Her? 22:10 Fairytale Is Over 26:53 Substitute 31:38 Fax To My Heart 36:01 Choo-Choo-Chamba 39:31 Stay A Little Longer 44:01 Who Holds The Key
