Bear Head State Park, Tower MN

Our BWCAW permit was cancelled this year due to the forest fires. We already had the gear packed and a canoe rented so we decided to get a campsite at Bear Head Lake State Park near Tower Minnesota. Even though that meant giving up the solitude and amazing walleye fishing the boundary waters offers, it also meant we would have flush toilets and showers. We found good fishing in the park, including ponds stocked with brook trout, and we also made a day trip to some remote lakes. I was impressed with all that Bear Head Lake State Park offers so here is the highlight reel from our trip.
