I've been looking for a job for 17 months since graduating with my Computer Science degree in May 2025, and I've learned A LOT. From recruiters who don't always understand the jobs they're hiring for to interviews that test the wrong things, endless application processes, take-home assignments, and companies that leave you waiting weeks just to send a rejection email, the job search has been an experience. In this video, I'm sharing what I've learned from navigating the job market, especially in tech, and why I think some hiring processes need to change. We'll talk about: Why qualified candidates can get overlooked Why you shouldn't get emotionally attached to a job before receiving an offer How interviews can fail to measure your actual abilities The frustration of waiting for responses and dealing with rejection Why some job applications and interview processes ask for too much How companies could make hiring more efficient and respectful What I've learned about protecting my time and continuing to improve Whether you're a recent graduate, trying to break into tech, switching careers, or just struggling to find a job, I hope you can relate to some of these experiences. Have you had a ridiculous job interview experience? Tell me about it in the comments. I'd love to hear your stories.
