You know, Trish took a bad fall this week — banged up her knee and bumped her head. We're okay y'all, but I wanted to share what happened and how we're getting through it. This morning we just sat out in the yard together, watched the hummingbirds at the feeder, talked garden and weather, watched a little football and did some lighthearted bantering. And uh, Smokey was right here with us like always. I walk through what happened with her fall, what I'm watching for now, and why I don't think of these moments as losses. I think of them as sweet reminders of her innocence. This has become my raison d'être — doing these little episodes with Trish for you guys.
