The Lord has blessed us to travel to seven states of our land, to preach and sing His praise. We have seen many souls saved, and we give God the praise for it all, for we know within ourselves we can do nothing. We have Rev. Roy Shepherd playing the five-string banjo and Brother Ed Ritchie playing rhythm guitar. We also have another wonderful man of God playing rhythm guitar; he is Brother Floyd Allen of Knox, Indiana. Brother Allen is singing lead on the song “Life Boat,” and we thank God for him, as he has been a great inspiration to the group. We also want to thank our wonderful engineer, Rev. Clarence H. Tolliver, for helping us on the song “When I Get Home.” Surely this is what we all as Christians should be looking forward to—that great homecoming in Heaven. We pray that this album will be a blessing to the saved, and reach the ones that are lost, that they may find Christ as their Saviour before it’s too late. We would like to dedicate this album to our parents: Mr. & Mrs. Chester Ritchie of Vest, Kentucky; Mrs. Gracie Shepherd of Decoy, Kentucky; and Mrs. Sarah Trusty of Denham, Indiana. This is the fourth album I have had the privilege of recording for The Ritchie & Shepherd Gospel Singers, and I believe you will agree this is the best one of all. When they come in the studio and have prayer and ask the Lord to help them in their work and God begins to bless them, you can just feel in your heart that great unseen presence of God’s Holy Spirit. —Brother C.
