He Vanished From Sears in 5 Minutes, Police Took 27 Years to Name a Killer | True Crime Documentary

On July 27, 1981, six-year-old Adam Walsh walked into a Sears store in Hollywood, Florida, holding his mother's hand. Minutes later, he was gone. Two weeks later, fishermen made a discovery in a canal more than 100 miles away that would horrify a nation. In this documentary, we walk through the full story: the afternoon at Sears, the desperate search, the drifter who confessed and then took it back, the critical evidence police lost, the Jeffrey Dahmer theory, and the 27-year wait for answers. We also look at how Adam's father, John Walsh, turned unimaginable grief into a mission that led to America's Most Wanted, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and "Code Adam," still used in stores across America today. This is Adam's story. He was only six, and he deserves to be remembered. 🔔 Subscribe for more true crime documentaries and turn on notifications so you never miss an upload. #AdamWalsh #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeDocumentary #CodeAdam #JohnWalsh #AmericasMostWanted #ColdCase #coldcasesolved #jeffthekiller
