Four days of cycling through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe, but the further we went, the harder the journey became.
We started in Bregenz with a perfect cycling day and temperatures reaching 31°C. But on the way from Bad Ragaz to Rapperswil, things took a turn when we got a puncture early in the morning. The challenges kept coming as we faced the threat of a storm, forcing us to start early and push hard to reach Lucerne before the weather caught up with us. We almost made it.
Then came day four. The ride from Lucerne to Interlaken would become the toughest day of our entire trip, with around 1,300 meters of elevation gain. Exhausted and questioning whether we could keep going, we pushed through some of the most spectacular scenery of the journey.
Four days in the Alps. Mechanical problems, unpredictable weather, exhausting climbs, and moments of uncertainty. Was this adventure turning out to be more than we had signed up for?
This is episode 2 of our journey cycling across the Alps.
