Ace The Bat Hound Origins - Batman’s Best Friend, His Aide, His Dog's Exceptional Backstory Explored

When you imagine Batman with a pet, you do not imagine a cute and timid cuddle bear. You imagine a disciplined and obedient beast. Not that there’s anything wrong with the Dark Knight fancying himself a cute labrador but a hound seems to be more of his match. Ace The Bat-Hound is a crime-fighting super dog who was the companion of Batman. He was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Sheldon Moldoff and made his debut in 1955. Which means that he has been around for quite some time. Unfortunately, he was written off around ten years later as the editors wanted to make Batman more serious than before. Thankfully, the character has gotten several revamps and reappearances, appearing in both the comics and the animated series. In today’s video, we will go over the different stories where this good boy has graced us with his presence.
