Mayurbhanj Flood Update as continuous heavy rain causes water levels to rise in several rivers across the district. The Budhabalanga River is steadily rising at Baripada, with flooding in the Palpala River from the Similipal region also contributing to increased water levels. Floodwater is flowing over the Nahlua bridge on the Udala-Baripada State Highway 19 and around 1.5 feet of water is reported over the Budhabalanga bridge at Bangiriposi. Three breaches in the Gangahar river embankment have submerged agricultural land in Kunchibania village. A woman has reportedly died after a wall collapsed in Punsia village of Sarasakana block.
