Today, our family tried another famous Filipino comfort food - GINISANG MUNGO! 🇵🇭 ❤️ Our helper prepared this delicious traditional Filipino dish, and we all gathered around the table to enjoy lunch together. But this meal was especially interesting for mama Elena, because it was her FIRST TIME trying Ginisang Mungo! Made with mung beans, pork, and fresh vegetables, this hearty Filipino soup was something completely new to her. The combination of ingredients and the idea of eating mung beans as a savory soup were very unusual! She has tried food from Russia, Ukraine, and Israel, but she has never encountered anything quite like this Filipino dish before.
