Galatians | Week 1 | Jesus + ?

This week, we explore what it means to truly belong in the family of God. Paul reminds the early church that the gospel is not a list of rules or requirements we must meet to earn God’s approval, but the good news of what Jesus has already done for us through his life, death, and resurrection. Yet we’re often tempted to add our own expectations, cultural preferences, political views, or moral standards to the grace Jesus offers, creating barriers that keep others from belonging. As we begin studying Galatians, we’re challenged to let Jesus’ grace be the foundation of our own identity and to stop making others earn a place that Jesus freely offers. Because in God’s kingdom, it’s better to be excluded for who we include than included for who we exclude.
