That Fratton Feeling with Cllr Billy Ansell

Billy was elected for the first time in May’s elections in Fratton (Portsmouth) What is it like after the high of the declaration in May? We’ll be asking him how the last five months have been? What has he learned? What has been the most surprising thing about being a councillor? Questions we asked Billy:- 1. What made you want to stand for local council? 2. Fratton is a ward where we can make a case for several parties winning, when did you think you were going to win? and be honest was it a shock? 3. What is it that drew you to Fratton? 4. What are the three biggest issues facing residents in Fratton? 5. (five months in) What are your most and least favourite parts of being a Councillor? What's been the biggest surprise? 6. What would October Billy most want to share with April Billy, if you could? 7. Your thoughts on LGR and the pause (is it dead or just resting) ? 8. What's your view on last week's extraordinary full council meeting and the events leading up to it? 9. If money and political power were no object - and you had the power to - what one policy or change would you make for the residents of Fratton?
