Why do some people earn more than you for doing the same work? What are the 4 inequalities of income? The four inequalities of income are the personal differences that produce income differences in a market economy, where money earned is a byproduct of value created. Ambition inequality is the difference in willingness to pay the price of success, and there is no moral high ground either way. Initiative inequality is the difference in willingness to take decisive, purposeful, resilient action, because setting a goal and achieving one are not the same mindset. Work ethic inequality is the difference between treating your responsibilities as a duty, which needs incentives, and treating them as a moral obligation, which does not. Study ethic inequality is the difference in willingness to study for mastery rather than for a passing grade, where mastery means applying knowledge so effortlessly that it looks effortless. Key Concepts Ambition inequality: The difference in willingness to pay the price of success in money, time, mentality, lifestyle and delayed gratification, and there is no moral high ground between striving higher and choosing comfort. Initiative inequality: The difference in willingness to take decisive, purposeful and resilient action, because setting a goal and achieving one require entirely different mindsets. Work ethic inequality: The difference between seeing your responsibilities as a duty, which needs incentives and collapses the moment the reward looks smaller than the risk, and seeing them as a moral obligation, which does not. Study ethic inequality: The difference in willingness to study for mastery rather than for a grade, where mastery means applying your knowledge so effortlessly that it looks effortless to anyone watching.
