Becoming a mother without my mom here has brought an entirely new layer to my grief. From finding out I was pregnant, to learning I was having a daughter, to now raising a little girl who reminds me so much of myself and sometimes my mom, there have been countless moments when I’ve wished I could simply pick up the phone and call her.
