Why Zakopane? That was the first question we were asked before this trip. To be honest, we weren't entirely sure either. We wanted mountains, fresh air, slower days, and a break from screens and schedules. What we found was a destination that felt surprisingly similar to Switzerland, but at a fraction of the price. Over two days in Zakopane, we rode the cable car to Kasprowy Wierch, hiked to the famous Morskie Oko, climbed to Czarny Staw, watched sunset from Gubałówka, and discovered some of the best food we had during our time in Poland.
