Me and Bobby McGee, Maren Morris and Lukas Nelson, Newport Folk, 7/27/2025

During the final set of Newport Folk Festival, a performance of “Me and Bobby McGee”, written by Kris Kristofferson and made famous but Janis Joplin’s 1971 recording. Lukas Nelson plays lead guitar, Josh Kaufman (producer and guitarist of Bonny Light Horseman) plays rhythm guitar, Sarah Jarosz (solo artist, and in I’m With Her) plays mandolin, Bridget Kearney (Lake Street Dive) plays bass, Joe Russo plays drums, and support from others as well.
