Starting college is a weird feeling. One minute you’re packing up your room at home, and the next you’re living somewhere completely new, meeting people you’ve never met before, and, for many people, you’re completely alone for the first time in your life. Well, if I can do it, so can you. Welcome to the first episode of Honors & All! I’m Mary Walker West, a first-year student at Miami University and a member of the Miami Honors social media team. As part of my role, I’ll be documenting my first-year experience through videos like this. And what better place to start than the beginning? I filmed throughout my first month at Miami, from move-in day and my first classes to meeting new people, finding my routine, and figuring out what college actually feels like, beyond the brochures and tours.
